LOL! Yea, this is definitely true. I see a bunch of girl characters and I find it hard to believe that there is that many girls playing this game...I believe i had 1 girl character..or 2 because on same characters, girls look the best. eh?

For me I am not allows to play Female Characters = p.

lol I have a female warrior, the other 7 chars are male and I'm a guy. The reason was I didn't like the "beefcake" look on the male warrior. Some of the female gamers that I know prefer to used male char, if they have a choice.

If Hollywood can abandon the muscle jarhead hero look, why can't games? Look at gear of war! that's look is so '80. BEEFCAKE ftl.

I'm a girl, & most of my chars are girls (mostly because girls are just generally more aesthetically pleasing & tend to have better dances). I've also got a couple of guy chars, primarily because I get tired of being addressed as "sexy". :P I've had a number of people ask me if I was gay (something about using a lot of emoticons & occaisionally referencing my "husband" made them think that I wasn't exactly manly, but it didn't occur to them that I may actually be female ^_^ ).

A GWfriend of mine is a guy who likes to play girl chars, because many players assume that girl=teh suck. Thus, he lulls them into a false sense of superiority right off, then gives them a good walloping.

Everybody I know IRL who play GW (and WoW, for that matter) play a mix of genders, regardless of what they are biologically (for a variety of reasons... mostly aesthetic, I think, though I've never actually asked).

IOW, just play the game & have fun, & don't ever expect anybody IRL to look the least bit like their Toon.
